Coach Tom Ryan is the head wrestling coach at the Ohio State University and in 2015 captured the program’s first national championship. His career as both a coach and wrestler is elite. He was part of two NCAA national championship teams at Iowa as a wrestler and has coached six different Buckeyes to 12 individual national titles, including four-time champion Logan Stieber and Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder (three-time NCAA champ).

In this episode, Coach Ryan shares some funny stories about what his uncle would do each time he won a wrestling tournament as a kid, the Youtube video of him “freaking out” when one of his wrestlers won the NCAA title, and how winning a championship at Ohio State changed his life. Also, Coach Ryan shares his incredible story of personal tragedy when his son, Teague, suddenly died at the age of five. He talks about how his family overcame the grief and pain of this experience, which ultimately led them to find their faith.
