[0:00] Hello, friends. Welcome to another episode of Tell Us a Good Story. Today, like every fifth episode, it’s Steph and I sharing our own stories with you and some of our closest friends. And this conversation is with our friend Jeremy Hartman and Steph’s sister, Katie Keller Schnitzer. You guys, not only did we record this fifth episode, but we recorded the next three episodes with Jeremy and my sister, Katie. That’s true. Summers can be quite challenging with booking guests for the show. So we sat down with our friends hoping to get two episodes, but then we talked to them for over two hours and we got three. This episode includes Kevin’s list of weird things that are starting to happen behind the scenes with Tell Us a Good Story. And that list now includes how Steph pitches her guest ideas to me. Plus, we have some fun new neighborhood stories to share with you. As always, we can’t wait for you to hear this very fun fifth episode with Jeremy Hartman and Katie Keller-Schetzer. I’m Kevin. And I’m Stephanie. And during our marriage, we have dealt with an electrocution, a brain tumor, brain surgery, then doctors telling us that children were not in our future, followed by miscarriage, and then Kevin’s cancer diagnosis. However, today we live a life completely healed and restored with three healthy children who doctors said were not possible. And we’re here to tell stories that inspire, give hope, and brighten your day. Welcome to Tell Us a Good Story.

[1:22] Okay, friends, before we get to this episode, just a friendly reminder to please hit the subscribe button on YouTube and Apple podcast or give us a review. Five stars, please. In our world, this is super, super important because it will help with the algorithm to make it easier for people to find us. And thank you for sharing our post across your social media. That really helps with engagement and with us getting guests. Yes. So, hey, if you want us to keep working our way up to talking to Chip and Joanna, please share us with your friends. But regardless, thank you for listening to tell us a good story.

[1:55] All right, Steph, welcome to episode 225. I’m so happy. I am so happy right now. I’ve needed this all. It’s been, oh, I’m supposed to. And probably 226. Yes. And we are recording today with our friend, Mr. Jeremy Hartman. Hartman. And your sister. My sister. Katie Keller Schnitzer. We’re so excited. We’re so excited. Yes. And I’m already turning you down. Dang it.

[2:22] I’m so happy. You know I’ve waited for this. Okay, so can you explain why we’re going to do two episodes here? One, because every time we talk to these two, we always go long, right? And it’s not an issue making two episodes. But why are we doing two episodes specifically here? Because guests are saying yes, but they’re like, can we do it in August? And we’re like, yes, we’re scheduling. Or we’re scheduling. Doing TV now, it is very hard to schedule because now we’re dealing with someone else’s calendar. And when they’re available and it’s steph her work me my work the guest and now tv producer as well so trying to get all of us aligned on the same page is very challenging so we had something lined up and had to reschedule and so we’re like okay we’re gonna do two episodes now which is totally fine let us get two episodes which is totally fine i have a laundry list of stories to share because what i found out stuff is literally i

[3:17] live life with you and just write write things down that’s all i gotta do that seems like a pretty fair assessment i don’t know if other people have as exciting stories as we do i don’t know but it’s fun that we get to do this oh wonderful it’s absolutely fun that we get to do you are welcome.

[3:41] So, let’s start off by sharing some weird things that are starting to happen with Tell Us a Good Story. First off, I am shocked, Steph, by the people who are getting nervous to talk to us. They’re getting nervous. We have talked to people on fifth episodes like this, and we’re getting turned down because they’re getting nervous. They don’t feel like they’re good enough to do this. We’ve always felt that way. Do you think you’re good enough, Katie? No! every time I’m like are you sure I do but I have a confidence issue that I shouldn’t have so I’m probably not good enough but I think that I am for four years I’ve been saying you sure you sure want to invite me I actually when I got invited to do this which was only two days ago my initial thought was man Kevin must think I’m pretty good on the fly, to which my oldest son Clark said I just think you didn’t have anybody else available.

[4:37] Well Well, so tell him no. So you told me you have lost sleep over this in the past. Oh, for sure. So I also thought giving you a short notice might be better. You don’t have to think about it for a week or two. So that was the other thing that went into this. I slept perfectly fine, did not lose an ounce of sleep over this. So that’s good. Yep. You know, I’m becoming a veteran. That’s good. It’s getting easier. That’s good. You know how this works now. Yeah, that’s good. I know the drill. I’m surprised that people, one, are getting nervous to talk to us. Two, friends of ours are declining because they’re like, I can’t do that on that level. I can’t do it. For example. Wait, should I be more nervous? No, not at all. Not at all. How many people are listening to this thing? A thousand?

[5:18] A million no big deal you’re not gonna shame your family don’t worry so now they’re not listening here’s what’s funny a buddy of mine close friend pastor micah pelkey i’m calling him out right now publicly so y’all if anyone goes to his church pastor micah pelkey from story side church in belleville ohio okay we’ve invited him multiple times to do a fifth episode yeah with us and he has politely declined and his reason is he doesn’t feel like he’s on par for tell us a good story and i’m like dude you preach to literally thousands of people every week in your church what are you talking about and he’s like you talk to john gordon i’m like who cares like we would love to have you on the fifth episode and he is always giving an excuse like no i don’t think i do this so if there’s anyone listening from story side church please talk to your pastor next time you see him and say hey i think you should be on and tell us a good story just so you know please Please call him out. And now I think about stuff. Maybe that’s his reason for politely declining. Like he really doesn’t want to do it. He doesn’t want to do it. He just said, yeah, you know what? I don’t think I’m good enough for it. I’m not good enough. And Charlie’s like, oh, I never want to do that.

[6:24] Maybe that’s it. You do have to be careful inviting a pastor on because they prepare 40 minutes of a sermon. So you may ask a question and then 20 minutes later, you’re like, well, we got to cut, buddy. We got to move on. That’s why we don’t do this live. and two he was my best man in our wedding and i soon found out yes he’s a preacher because he went long he went so long but it’s because he read the letter to get cut he read the letter the letter is what got but also he went he went long right i’m just glad he didn’t take up an offering at a reception stuff that could have helped us out on our honeymoon so maybe he should, That’s what the dollar dance was for. Totally.

[7:06] So the other thing that’s happening is getting messages from people, pitching us an idea. But then the very first sentence is, I wish I would have done this sooner. Because now you’re talking to higher profile people. I wish I would have done this sooner. Feeling like they can’t fit in. And that’s not the intent at all. No, because that’s why we started this. Because everyone has a story. We want to hear everyone’s story. So I was like, no, I want to hear their stories. Please go to our website, kevinandstep.com, go to contact and pitch us an idea or a parent or someone you know who has a great story and can share it well and articulate it. Yes. And our producer will go through it. Yes, absolutely. So that’s happening a lot.

[7:50] Another thing it’s funny y’all is friends keeping up with our lives based on this podcast oh we’ve had multiple friends now who have come over to our house and they walk in and because of the episode with y’all last time they’re like oh this is the garage that you talked about.

[8:07] Yes my girlfriend amy she her and i went out to dinner a couple nights ago and she’s like oh this is the garage that was on your podcast i’m like welcome to yes that doesn’t look great doesn’t all look great and bless her heart i love her we just don’t keep in contact because we’re both so busy she’s like i didn’t even know you guys got a house until the podcast i’m like oh i’m like that’s crazy to me it’s really a very elongated facebook post that really is broadcast to millions of yeah these people yes but it was like paul and michelle the same thing like oh this is the garage or they’ll bring something else up that was from the podcast like oh well Well, they’re listening. So that’s been interesting. I didn’t expect that. Yeah. Another thing, Steph, is the people who have told us that are listening to tell us a good story. So I was invited to speak at a Entrepreneur’s Day, Career Day at Faithlife Academy, which is like a school that was started by our church. So I’m on this panel talking about what we do and all of that. And then they asked the students, do you have any questions for anyone on the panel? There’s probably a 10-year-old boy who raised his hand. And they gave him the microphone and he said, this one’s for Mr. Mason there. I just want to let you know, my family and I listen to Tell Us a Good Story every day on the way to school.

[9:23] And it blew me away. I was not, I was not expecting that at all. And so I asked him what his favorite episode was. And he said he liked Jim Trestle. He’s a football fan. So he loved that. So not expecting that. Then today I get a call from a guest that I’ve been trying to connect to for a couple of months now. And so his season is over now and so it was coach brad larson’s one of his best friends so coach brad larson was the former head coach of the columbus blue jackets and in hl hockey one of his friends is one of the coaches for the nashville predators okay so they went into the playoffs loss and so now it’s his off season so he called me today and so we’re talking he’s like i would absolutely love to be on tell us a good story and come to find out since we had our a conversation with coach brad larson this guy his name is coach dan high note he’s been listening to tell us a good story so now he’s an avid fan of us and he’s listening to us whether it’s on their road trips or whatever i’m like stop it you’re kidding me you’ve been he’s like oh yeah i totally know what i’m signing up for i know your wife’s excitement all of this, you just wait coach dan he said he loves it all over this conversation with

[10:33] you Blew me away. I was not expecting that. Oh, that’s cool. At all stuff. So that was pretty cool. But then the last thing on my list here of things that are weird or getting weird to me is now how my wife pitches guests to me.

[10:48] She’s always pitched very good ideas. Amazing guests. I don’t understand this. Are we moving up to like A-list celebrities? She is. Amazing. Yes. I give you ideas. She will send me most random ideas from Facebook, the article, or whatever. You guys are so good. And I don’t understand why he’s not jumping on these ideas. Here’s an example. All right. Here’s one thing that’s cool, which has happened. And again, not anything we would have imagined. When we’re watching TV or a movie, there have been times where we’re like, hey, we should talk to that person. and we actually end up talking to them. Stop it. Like Pastor Cal Robertson, who’s the host of… Married at First Sight. Married at First Sight, okay, which is Lifetime’s number one show, right? You were watching that. I started watching it with you. Yes. And we’re like, hey, we should talk to that guy. Yeah, we should. So we reach out and a week later, we’re talking to him. Stop it. So stuff like that is happening, which is… Cool, super cool. Really cool, okay? So two weeks ago, we were referred to a movie called Boys in the Boat. Oh! Have you guys watched it? I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard it’s really, really good. Oh, it’s so good, you guys. It’s so good. Very, very good. Okay, so it is a movie that’s on Amazon Prime. It’s a film directed and produced by George Clooney. It’s a true story. Is that the guest coming? No. Here we go. That’s what I’m going to do.

[12:03] Buckle your seatbelts. It’s a true story about the University of Washington’s rowing team and their journey when they got to the 1936 Summer Olympics. I’ll say that again.

[12:14] 1936 Summer Olympics. in Germany. Same Olympics where Jesse Owens competed and won four gold medals in front of Adolf Hitler. So it was that same Olympics. So we get to the end of this movie, Boys in the Boat, and they win the gold medal. Did you just ruin it? Why would you say that? You have to know. They win it. It’s got to be in the description and all that. It’s not. It’s not! Why would you say that? Why do I even want to watch it now? Why do I even want to watch it? as they’re getting their medals i was going to be surprised.

[12:49] Steph looks at me and is like you know what we should talk to one of those guys, i thought she met the actors and i’m like oh i should talk to one’s actor no no no you should talk to one of those guys yeah like they would have fantastic stories i’m like the people they’re depicting in this movie yes those and so i did the math real quick i’m like steph they’d be 110 years old yeah, Somebody might be. Thank you. You talked to Cool Runnings Boss Blood Guy. Thank you. Let’s talk to the boy in the boat. Exactly. The very old elderly man in the boat. Thanks, Hartman. So I look it up. I’m like, there’s no way. So the last person passed away in 2007 at the age of 93. Oh, you’re so close. So if any of them were still living, they would literally be 110 years old. Okay. So I tell that to Steph. And her response is, so that means we can’t talk to Jesse Owens either, right?

[13:42] I got another one I got another idea We can’t talk to Jesse Owens We can’t talk to Jackie Robinson We can’t talk to Babe Ruth None of them, okay honey? They’re off the table But, because my mind’s constantly going with ideas You’re the idea person I am the idea person I would love to talk to one of their children Or the grandchildren Because they would have the stories You would hope so Right? I am not aware of these people, so I cannot speak to that. I wanted you to talk to George Clooney. That’s where I thought the story was going there. I got really excited. Right. That would be more reasonable. It was directed by George Clooney. What? Yes. I would love to hear from Jesse Owens. Thank you. It was a great idea. It was a great idea. Again, I have all these ideas. All these ideas. Yes. So many ideas. I do have good ideas. They were just, again, dead.

[14:34] Steph, what is one of the most asked questions we get about Tell Us a Good Story? Do I really get that excited?

[14:41] Besides that one. Oh, how do we get all these incredible guests? Correct. And some of our best conversations have been with guests who our listeners have reached out to us and said, you should talk to this person. To name just a few, Nick Vujicic, Coach Tom Ryan, Carol Moteca were all recommendations from our listeners. So if there’s someone you would like us to interview and think they might be a great fit for Tell Us A Good Story, please let us know at kevinandsteph.com. You don’t even have to personally know them. True, but do me a favor. Before you submit their names, please make sure they are still alive. That has actually happened, and it is super hard for me to find their contact information. But regardless, thank you for listening to Tell Us A Good Story.

[15:21] So, Steph, would you like to share some neighborhood stories from our new neighborhood here? Have you made so many friends? So many friends! Okay, so to recap, y’all, we moved into this new home about three months ago. And basically, we moved into a retirement community. We did. We are one of the very few people under the age of 70, I would say, in this neighborhood. We’ve only seen one family with kids. Oh, I haven’t even seen that family. I just met them yesterday. Oh. And so they’re technically not part of the neighborhood, actually. So they’re just outside the neighborhood, but they have two kids, age six and I think 18 months. But no, we have not met the kids yet, but they’re actually just like technically not part of the neighborhood, but still connected. Can I tell you guys a story? This happened today because I make all these friends and I just love these people so much. I’m backing out of my driveway and the people catty corner, she’s a single woman. And then our other neighbor, Dan, who Dan’s fantastic, both have to be in their 70s, right? I’m pulling out with the kids. They’re talking probably 20 feet behind me. And I yell out, hi, Terry. Hi, Dan. And they just look at me and Terry, who’s in her 70s, she’s like, hi, girlfriend.

[16:38] I’m waving. I’m like, oh, I’m making a mark on my people. Your people. And then Dan just waves. I’m like, I’m so happy right now. Now i’m just so happy here’s what’s there’s so many funny things about this right the first thing is when i meet somebody now the first thing they ask is not what you do for living it is do you still work like are you still working because everybody’s retired oh that’s interesting so that’s like the for like hi i’m kevin hey are do you still work like yes i yes i absolutely I have a five-year-old. Yes. I got a ways to go. It’s not what do you do for a living. Do you still work? Because none of us do. Yeah. They don’t. In their mind, they’re thinking, what a loser. Why does he still work? This guy’s really busy.

[17:30] That’s fantastic. The other thing is when we’ve introduced ourselves, it’s been multiple times stuff. Tell me if this has happened to you or when you’ve been with me. They will say, oh, you’re the podcast people. Oh. Or it’s, oh, we’ve heard of you. You guys do that podcast, right? Oh, oh no. Who’s spreading that? Is it in the newsletter? I don’t know. That happened when we were talking to Dan. The HOA. One of the members of the HOA. They were describing us. And apparently, the words getting around is they have their own podcast. They’re the podcast people. So I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I love it here. If you’re listening, I love it so much. Love you guys. You guys should put a little tell us a good story like a yard sign out. You’re not allowed. Nope. Against HOA. Of course. I put a yard sign out and within two hours, Jeremy, it was taken out and put on my front porch and I was sent a note by the HOA president saying there’s no yard signs allowed in this neighborhood. Oh my gosh. Within two hours. Within two hours. Because we put a roofing sign. Yeah. I was just going to ask It was yanked out within two hours and we were informed of that.

[18:36] She’s sorry. Yeah, it’s one of those neighborhoods. But you mentioned Dan, right? He is retired, built homes for a living back in the day. I don’t know how long he’s been retired, but he’s one of the original owners here. He built his house here in this neighborhood. And so he gave us, he’s given us several things, right? He gave us some brand new cornhole boards that he built himself. They were very nice. So we’ve played with them out in the backyard with the kids and all that. So the kids made him thank you cards for him giving those to us. So I talked to him the other day and said, hey, did you like those thank you cards that the kids sent? And he was like, oh my gosh, I actually framed those in our house. It meant that much to him that our kids like did a handwritten thank you cards on construction paper. He framed it.

[19:23] He framed it inside of his house. Like it meant that much to him, which was cool. So sweet. So you want to talk about fireworks that we found out? We did not know about this. So you guys know how every time, like it just more things of this house. Like I just love this house. And then more things happen. I’m like, I didn’t know about this. Like I didn’t know we had an irrigation system. They’re like, Like, you need to have your irrigation turned on. I’m like, I didn’t have irrigation system. The backflow tested. I was like, oh, we have that? That’s awesome. I didn’t know that. And they showed me in the garage. Like, that’s what this is. Like, oh, okay. Awesome. That is amazing.

[19:58] So July 3rd, Dan comes over. He’s like, where are you going to watch fireworks? I’m like, oh, we don’t know where we’re going to go. And he’s like, no, you put your chairs in your driveway and you look at fireworks. We’re like, seriously? So we had fireworks to our left on July 3rd. And then on July 5th, we had them to the right. And there was like the perfect view. So who was July 5th? The Columbus Country Club. Right by you. Right by us. We were watching those same fireworks. Stop it. There was zero, zero obstruction. Like what? It was fantastic. Literally sit in a front yard and watch it. And then we saw a couple summers as well. Yes. Because for us, it was funny because we have the trees are getting taller and taller. So we could only see maybe the top three-fourths of the fireworks. But it’s funny to watch. And then it’s about three seconds. and then boom the sound hits you it’s kind of funny to hear the delay but uh yeah same fireworks you guys watching you guys actually have a better view than we do though well especially you’re calling over next year we’re closer yeah but we have so many big trees yeah at our neighbor’s house that block so but steph how many neighbors were out watching two us dan and one other neighbor i think everyone else was asleep because it was they started 9 45 yeah so i think everyone was out rightfully so yeah bingo probably ends at like seven.

[21:46] So, final neighborhood story stuff. Do you want to talk about the neighbors too? Our left, Tony. You love Tony. I love Tony. You too love Tony. Tony. We had a party. He is fantastic. We love Tony. He is probably a five foot three, five foot four Vietnamese man. He is so kind. He’s the nicest man. Nicest man. He and his family. And so like we had a wolfable party two weeks ago which we’ll get to in a minute here but i told him i went over and said hey we’re gonna have a party here tomorrow night and he’s like hey please use our yard do you need any chairs hey anything in my garage go ahead and use you can take in the back like anything you need please use so he’s part of his backyard for cornhole and stuff like that it was so kind so he’s always always out saying hello so the one night this is was probably a month ago stuff the night before we left for ithaca the night before for new york i was exhausted because we had l’s birthday party that day so i’m exhausted i’m stressed yes so i got up early to prep for the birthday party then spent time at the birthday party then you know i’m doing laundry unpacking bags we’re getting ready to go to ithaca it’s nine o’clock i just get the kids to bed, And Kevin’s like, hey, Tony wants us to come over. And I’m like, you go over.

[23:09] I’m tired. I need to shower. I want to go to bed. And he had come over when I was working on the garage. And he literally came over, said, hey, please come on over. Hang out with us. I’m like, OK, I’ll be right there. Let me finish this. And it was close to 9 o’clock, really. So I told him to be over. So I walk into the backyard. And one of his friends is back there grilling. And so they invite me in. And I walk in and immediately, where’s Steph? Where’s your wife at? And so they’re having, I thought a party. To them, it was just a normal weekend. It’s just normal dinner. Yes. Family dinner. Yeah. They had grilled out so much stuff during the day. And this was like a Saturday night. And so there was probably eight to 10 people there, I would say, of family members. Some of them spoke broken English. The other half did not speak any English. Yeah. Okay. So I’m sitting there maybe 10 minutes and they’re adamant. I mean, they’re giving me a tour of their house. They’re taking me to the basement. And they’re all kind of like very, very kind. They’re very adamant. We would love to meet Steph. We would love to introduce Steph to my wife and to my aunt that’s here in town and all that. I’m like, okay. So I call you, right? Yeah. And I said, Steph, can you please make an appearance over here just for five minutes? No.

[24:25] And you didn’t understand. You did not understand. Sure can’t. What I was dealing with. No, Kevin’s like, Steph, no, please, please. I’m like, no. Yes, I need you is right. I said, Kevin, I am tired. I need to go to bed. I’m so tired. All the things all day. All the things. And he’s like, babe, I really need you to take one for the team. Five minutes, please. You’re like, five minutes. It’s just good. I said, Kevin, it better be five minutes. Like, promise me. He’s like, babe, five minutes. And I’m like, then I’m out. And he’s like, then you’re out. I’m like, okay. And you’re like, please come back over here. Meet me in the garage. so i don’t have to knock on the front door by myself or all that am i okay i’m like yo i’ll be right i will be right back i’m gonna get her yes so i walk out meet stuff in the garage and as you can imagine the look that she gave me was like i’m not happy right now but i am doing this for you i will cut you yes this better be quick yeah so we walk over together we walk in through through the back door and they’re all now, I mean, I literally left for what, two minutes? It wasn’t long at all. It was not long at all. They’re all now sitting in their dining room and they have two empty chairs for Steph and I.

[25:38] At their dining room table as we walk in and we’re like oh i thought you i thought i was just introducing you to step no no you are like you are sitting down you’re sitting down and eating with us you sit you sit we will eat together oh no i just want to say hi i’m trying to hug and they’re like i’m hugging and they’re dragging me and like literally not force me but they’re like you sit now yes and i’m like okay and i’m like you don’t want to offend no you don’t want to us then you would have been so lovely this is your first impression you can’t take it back and and i don’t know if it’s like acts of service i don’t know if it’s quality time but something is yeah this is their love language yeah they want to spend time with us yeah so it’s now nine o’clock or later it’s after nine o’clock it’s like 9 15 at this point guys they have steak they have ribs they have all all this heavy food yes okay hey kevin next time just call me instead of steph I should have. I’ll put a wig on. I’ll make an appearance. You need to meet Hartman. Not my wife. Meet Hartman. We were not like digging in to eat. No. At 9.15 at night. And so they’re like, no, no, no, no. You eat. You eat. And so they start putting stuff on her plate. And we’re like, oh my gosh. Not that much. And then Steph’s like taking stuff on her plate, putting on mine. I’m like.

[26:54] Okay, I do not want to offend these people. I’ve already ate. You have to go boxes, please. And so I start eating. We’re the only ones with utensils. Yeah, at one point. So they have a daughter. Tony has a daughter that grew up here in the States. She’s so American, like has no accent. So at times they were talking Vietnamese and she would interpret for us. Got it. Okay. And at one point she’s like, we just eat with our hands. And I’m like, oh. Oh, so at one point I just grab like a rib or steak and just eat it. And they’re like, yeah. All of them would start cheering, step on.

[27:28] I’m like, oh, I can get on. I can do this. Okay. I got this. Challenge accepted. But you know, it’s so weird. Like we’re always so used to like, we sit down, we pray, we talk, we sit down and it’s just like a one for all. Yeah. They just start eating with their hands and like they’re talking.

[27:45] Putting on our plates. Yes. Yes. I can’t understand half the stuff they’re saying. No. Half of them do not speak English. No. and then they would laugh and then we’d ask the american teenager i mean the people who can speak english it’s broken english yeah right and then you have a teenager who’s like hey they said you just you know eat with your hands and it was like you don’t fit in here either right and so i mentioned that to her i’m like you speak very good english and she goes they make fun of me because of it and she said when she goes to vietnam everyone’s like you’re not from here you have an accent because she’s too americanized yeah it’s like oh my gosh so they were so kind you guys they were so kind an hour later yeah i look at kevin i’m like i gotta go i have got to go and oh lord jesus loves me so much my phone rings and it was emmy and she was like kind of asleep but she’s like mom where are you i’m like are you okay are you okay do you need me to come home right now what’s on fire yeah and she’s like mom are you okay i’m like i’m on my way right there i’m literally walking at the door i’m like you guys i’m so sorry and kevin’s like do you need me you’re like you’re fine you stay i’m like stop.

[29:00] Steph, this is like that office. It was like the office. Like, oh, you’re leaving? I can’t leave? Like Jim and Pam? They’re like, oh, my apartment’s on fire. I got to go. That’s what you did. I did. And I’m like, oh, I guess I’m still staying here. And I’m eating the rest of these things on my plate. How long were you there? It’s not that big of an emergency. Well over an hour. You were there. I was there about an hour. You were there probably another hour and a half because I showered. I got ready. I finished packing. packing and then you come home and you just look at me and i’m like buddy you told me five minutes,

[29:36] steph was thinking back to like when you didn’t help her pack and you slept and she’s like payback time from the move but if he was a payback i walk in and he’s like, mom you didn’t have to come where were you at like baby you did i almost gave her five dollars at that point. I’m like, you have no idea how much you helped me at this moment. I just high-fived her. I’m like, good job, Emmy. She’s like, thanks, mom. Like, good job. Now go to bed. Now go to bed. Now you got to go to bed. Okay. So here’s what was funny. Another thing that was funny. When I walked in immediately, multiple people tried to hand me a beer. And I said, no, no, no, I’m good.

[30:13] When I said I’m good, the look on their face was like, what are you talking about? You’re good. And I go, no, no, no, I’m good. And they’re like, you drink no beer? I go, I don’t drink beer. Why not? Like, more people, why not? What’s wrong with you? I go, I don’t drink beer. There’s a problem. And so they’re like, okay, go get this guy a water. So they come and bring me water. And then the following week after we got back, we’re out in the backyard and I’m playing with the kids. Tony comes over to say hello and he has something behind his back and he on his right hand he goes hey here’s a beer for you and I go I I’m good he’s like I’m teasing and his left hand’s like here’s your water so then last weekend same thing I went over to drop something off to them oh ice it was on the 4th of July they had ran out of ice and so they were having people over so i went over with a bowl of ice and then again they made me stay so i stayed for 45 minutes i would say same thing multiple people in his family come over and try to hand me a beer i’m like no no i’m good every single person jeremy’s like you know drink beer like what is wrong with you.

[31:28] I’m sorry i don’t do you have water and so like everyone was so confused everyone was so confused years when i turned down a beer so very funny but the nicest people ever the nicest people and man they do they do cook amazing they do it’s i would just rather i would just rather eat at six o’clock instead of 9 30 9 30 however one night tony comes over with like this plate of wrapped his wife had just made homemade egg rolls it was amazing you were delicious i hope these people can it’s almost It’s almost 9.30. I hope he calls tonight. I was going to say, is he, do you think he’ll, is it every Friday? Totally. We’ll see. We’ll just summon him? We’ll see. I love egg rolls. It was amazing.
