Debbie Turner was a famous child actor who was cast as “Marta” in the iconic film, The Sound of Music.

Imagine being six years old and competing against thousands of other kids to become one of the seven von Trapp children. Then, like something out of a movie, that film goes on to become one of the top three highest-grossing films of all time. Well, this is exactly what happened to Debbie Turner.

Debbie has a wonderful conversation with Kevin + Steph about the movie and what her personal life was like after the film’s release. Some of her stories include meeting Julie Andrews for the first time (who had just completed another movie called Mary Poppins), the casting process for the film, and what she did once she left Hollywood.
